You can open the link and then 'Right Click' and translate it with Bing.Check your earlier firmware from your unit 'info' and download same MCU software for your model.i.e. 9023 or 9024 or 9026 etc.Mine was 9023 and the new software was a pleasant update which resolved all issues.Extract the downloaded files to root of newly formatted SD card.You can replace Chinese logo and background before installation by browsing to ZYupdate/ZY8840 res/skin1 and change bk.bmp (background)and logo.bmp (Bootup logo) with pictures of your choice.

I would be very careful with this? Do you even know what device this is for? Most of these ROM's are specific to certain hardware and if you mess it up, you'll be in a serious world of hurt.I would like to do this to mine, but I can't see how it's possible to guarantee WiFi, GPS and also TMC will work afterwards.Also, there's no way of backing up your current firmware?
