Grace Period For Expired Drivers License Ontario

пятница 03 апреляadmin

One of my cars is registered under my wife's name.the vehicle plates expired last Friday, and I forgot to renew in time. It passed the Drive Clean inspection last week, so that's not a problem; I just need to do the paperwork for the plate renewal. So now that the plates are expired, what should I expect when I go to the licensing office to renew tomorrow? Are there any late fees or other extra charges? Since it's registered under my wife's name, does she need to be there or can I just go by myself?(And just FYI, this is a car that sits in the driveway about 6 days of the week, so it hasn't been driven since Friday and it won't be the one I take to the licensing office tomorrow.

Dec 13, 2019  In Ontario, you need to renew your driver’s licence card every 5 years. Usually, you will get a renewal notice in the mail or by email about 2 or 3 months before your licence expires. It is illegal to drive with an expired, cancelled or suspended driver’s licence. Revathi malayalam font.

I've done that once before, a week late, was scared getting pull over that week. No extra charge at all, and I also renewed the licence for my mom, no problem at all.

All they do at the office was took my money and gave me a sticker.A month ago I saw this guy driving with a sticker expired in May 2004, I wonder if he ever renew his licence will he have to pay from 2004?? I am also curious where I can report such things to, I had a camera on hand to take a picture of it, didn't take one because I didn't know where I can report it to, I really doubt he have insurance as well. Can't see why they would penalise you as you have already penalised yourself if you choose to follow the law as theoretically you are not supposed to be driving without a valid sticker and so you would have lost the use of your vehicle for a couple days.Best to get the sticker from the machine though as if you're like me and tend to be honest withthe wrong people you might be inclined to give a little more info than necessary if you go down to the MTO office and maybe say something like you drove the car without the valid sticker. And how much do i pay for this privilege? And then you can get shafted and be made to pay the $120 fine as someone above mentioned. His dad's birthday is at the beginning of a month and he never got around to getting a new sticker. My friend thought it was good until the end of the month so he kept driving his car. Well wouldn't you know it, THREE days after the sticker expired, he got pulled over for speeding and he got written up for the sticker as well.
